Last Post from Katy

The computer is being packed....the next post will be from Baton Rouge!

In the meantime...

Today, we had several errands to run! We managed to fit in lunch at La Madeleine where Anna Claire enjoyed their yummy bread!

This afternoon, we picked up the HUGE moving truck! Just where do you put a 26 foot truck?

Our Last Sunday at Living Word

Here's Anna Claire dressed and ready to go to church!

Thank you, Mom and Lady Mary, for all your help this weekend! We love y'all!

Here's Anna Claire with Laura at our going away reception at Living Word.

And finally - So many bows! I didn't want her bows to get packed, so I clipped them all to one headband! Sheryl and Louann -this one's for you! *grin*

Saturday Night at Rosa's Pizza

Tonight, we met some of our friends at the best Italian restaurant in Houston - Rosa's Pizza! Yummy! I ate garlic bread and tried some fettuccine alfredo - delicious! Check my cute little hair clip! Mommy's friend, Linsday, made these, and I just now have enough hair to wear them!
Also, notice my new trick when somebody tries to put me in my carrier - I stand up before they can buckle me in! I eventually sit down and get buckled in so I can be safe, but it's fun to give my parents a hard time every once in a while!

A Busy 24 hours...to say the least!

We went to dinner last night with the Welch crew at Los Cucos.....

THEN.....This morning.....
"Quick, people are coming to look at the house!" While we are fortunate to have the "traffic" (it was shown twice today), it is a little difficult to get everything presentable while trying to pack and get out the door!
Here's my mom and her cousin jumping in the car to leave.....
And, as we were pulling out of the driveway, Brad decides he needs to "sweep" the grass off the driveway with his foot....
And.....amid all of this, Anna Claire got a new pair of sandals!

Anna Claire gave me the silliest smirk in this picture!

And here she is after a yummy dinner with friends at Pappacito's!

Ready or Not - The house is for sale!

The realtor came this morning to take measurements and pictures of our home! It will be on the market in the next day or two!
These pictures are for my mom to show her my "staging skills" (b/c she is a master at this!) - making the house look like we don't really live here! This was quite a challenge, but I think we did well, if I say so myself! This morning, before the realtor arrived, I was putting the finishing touches on the living room, and I looked over, and Anna Claire was rearranging the flowers in front of the fireplace! She was just trying to help! :)

Busy weekend

I had the ingenious idea to have Anna Claire sit by this lamb so that I could take her picture because this is the same lamb she "sat" next to when we brought her home from the hospital (see picture below)! Well.....here are the pictures I came up with! Obviously, Anna Claire thought this was a rather hilarious idea! Nice.

Dinner at Chuy's with David and Keri - good times!

A Whole New World

Now that I can crawl and pull up on everything, the living room is a whole new world!

New Job

Well, it's official! The signed contract is in the mail! I have a job in Baton Rouge! I will be teaching 6th Grade English and reading at Victory Academy. I am so excited about this opportunity and how the Lord orchestrated all of this! The school is close to the church which will be nice.
Have a wonderful weekend-
Emily
