A Busy Little Girl....

It's true....Anna Claire knows one pace...fast! She is always on the go (she comes by it quite naturally!), and when she finally stops, she sleeps well! This first picture is one where I'm trying to take a picture of her wearing her new jacket, but she kept running away from me, and considering my current state, I can't exactly follow!
Anna Claire came across Aunt Robyn's headband and she likes to try and put it on her head. Here you can see her standing in front of her favorite mirror, admiring herself. In the other picture, she came to model her new found headband for me.

Update

I went to the doctor this morning, and the report was positive. My foot looks "good" (it's all relative at this point), and I had half the stitches removed. I am still in a temporary cast until I can get my foot at a 90 degree angle for the walking boot. I will go back to work on Monday with my beautifully rented wheel chair. My classroom is being relocated as I am on the second floor of a building with no elevator. All in all, a busy morning at the doctor's office, but a good one.
I'm trying out a different look on the blog. I'll sleep on it and decide if I want to keep it. I know what Granny (my mom) will say...."It's too busy. I can't see the pictures"....I'll take that into consideration. I love you, Mom.
Anna Claire is doing well. I'll post some new pictures in the next day or so.
Thanks for your prayers, cards, e-mails, phone calls, etc. We greatly appreciate them all.

A New Slide Means Only One Thing.....

....A new box! Anna Claire is thrilled! Ma-Maw and Pa, Anna Claire's great-grandparents, bought her a slide for Christmas. It was on back order, so it finally arrived yesterday! Anna Claire was excited about the slide, but she was more interested in the huge box that it came in...typical. She eventually tried out the slide with the help of her daddy while her friend, Hannah, chilled in her chair. While the baby (Hannah) was at our house, Anna Claire felt it necessary to take care of her babies, too. Enjoy.

Story Time

Anna Claire read us a story before she went to bed.
And here she is reading a book to herself. I kept asking her to turn around so that I could see her face, and she would just laugh. Nice.

Classic

When we moved here, the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market (just the "grocery" part of a Wal-Mart) opened right across the street. Needless to say, we spend entirely too much time and money there, and in the process, we've become good friends with the manager. Well, Brad went in there on Friday and ran into the manager, who had flowers ready to send over to me as a get well wish. Gotta love it when you receive flowers from the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market manager. Classic.

The Last Few Days...

I finally have a few photos to post! Anna Claire still LOVES her new chair! When she comes home from school, she goes straight to her chair for a snack. Auntie Robyn has taken over bath time duties, so she snapped this picture the other night. Notice the letters on the side of the tub - they annoy Anna Claire, so it's a game to see how fast you can put them on there before she pulls them off and laughs! And finally - here is the result of Aunt Robyn feeding Anna Claire some ravioli and Brad styling her hair! Oh my. I'll let the picture speak for itself! *grin*

Update

The surgery on Wednesday was a success, and I am now on bed rest until at least the 24th when I go for a follow-up appointment. Brad and Robyn are taking good care of me, and the church and my school have been gracious. Anna Claire is hanging in there, although she knows something isn't right.
Thanks for all the prayers, phone calls, cards, flowers, etc. Your love is much appreciated.
I'll try to upload some pictures in the near future.

Where to begin? Hmmm....

Happy New Year! We were able to take a wonderful vacation to see our families in Dallas and Oklahoma City, and then we went on to Iowa to visit some very dear friends. Most of you know, I broke my ankle while in Iowa, and I will have surgery on Wednesday! Brad has been super wonderful during all of this! I don't know what I would do without him! Robyn, Brad's sister, was also able to come back with us and she is a huge help! I owe both of them big time!! Prepare yourself for a ridiculous amount of pictures.....Christmas with our families, a wedding in Dallas, snow in Iowa, etc. Enjoy. (PS -Anna Claire has learned to make a silly face, and you will see it in several pictures...lovely.)
