Laughter

Last Sunday, my sister fell and broke her left foot. Fortunately, my mom and dad were in Dallas, so they were able to get her to the ER. My mom ended up staying in Dallas and driving Elizabeth to Houston on Sunday night for her to lead a training at a school Monday through Wednesday. All this to say, Anna Claire and I took advantage of the fact that they were only 4 1/2 hours away and that Anna Claire didn't have school on Tuesday (gotta love Mardi Gras). We made a quick trip to Houston (left Monday after work and came back Tuesday afternoon), but it was so much fun!
At one point, Anna Claire and Gigi were playing "Don't Break the Ice" in the hotel room. (Note the random scarf...silly girl!)

We also made a trip to Target because Etier girls can not function without Target or Sonic beyond 24 hours! :) Elizabeth and Anna Claire on the mobile cart made for quite the shopping adventure!!
Upon returning home, AC went to her room to play. She came out dressed like this and informed me that she was going to Target.

Fortunately for Brad, when he says he's taking his girls to dinner, we dress a little better than the above
 picture :)
And as is the norm these days....we can only take a "real" picture if I promise AC that we can also take a "silly face" picture. Life with a 3 year old.

Global Warming...

Late yesterday afternoon, the announcement was made that schools would be closed today due to the potential severe weather that could be coming through the area. This happened last month, and no bad weather came. I was a bit annoyed at 5:30 this morning when Brad looked out the window and said, "No snow."....But then at 7:45 when I woke up again, it was snowing! The snow came down for a good while, but now it's all melted and life goes on. It was fun while it lasted.
When Anna Claire first woke up, she didn't want to go outside just yet, so she pulled up a chair and just watched the snow.
When she finally decided to venture out, she kept trying to catch some in her mouth.

Because the snow was melting so fast, there were plenty of puddles to jump in!

Anna Claire remembered making snow ice cream in Pampa, so she was insitant that we make some this morning. My explanation that there wasn't enough snow to do this was not acceptable. She asked for a cup and said she would collect enough snow to make the ice cream. I obliged and brought the child a cup. Needless to say, the snow melted as soon as it hit the cup, so she was able to catch some really cold water!

Oh When The Saints....

Today is Saints Day at Anna Claire's school! I'm pretty sure it's Saints Day at every school/business/restaurant within a 200 mile radius of New Orleans!

Anna Claire also took a Saints cookie cake to share with her friends at school. When I said, "Here, let me take a picture of you with your cookie cake", she knelt down beside the table. I said, "Look at me and smile!" and she said, "No, take the picture of me looking at my cake"....Silly goose.

The above picture reminded me of a picture I took of my sister the day after Anna Claire was born. I said, "Elizabeth, look at me and smile" to which she responded, "No, take the picture of me looking sentimental"....the original silly goose.
