Super Saturday!

Our day started with breakfast at.....Another Broken Egg! Love that place! And we haven't stopped since! Here are some highlights from the day: 1. getting her toenails clipped by Granny while Sophie (the miniature dachshund) licked her face!
2. Running around the front yard - beautiful day 3. Eating lunch at Cane's 4. Riding the merry-go-round at the mall! Granny and Papa Bear are keeping Anna Claire tonight while Brad and I go to dinner and a movie! Fabulous!

Friday Night

Granny and Papa Bear arrived today, and Anna Claire hasn't stopped smiling! Granny is working overtime trying to get Anna Claire to say "Granny"....it's quite amusing!Tonight, we went over to the church for the "Friday Nites" outreach that we are hosting each week until Easter! Anna Claire LOVES this...Miss Social Butterfly! Enjoy the pictures!

No Bunny Here!

Today was picture day at Anna Claire's school! They had sent home a form a couple of weeks ago with various options: shoes on or barefoot, live bunny or no bunny! WHAT? You're going to give our little girl a live bunny.....oh, that poor bunny! I just knew she would pick that poor little hare up by the tail or the ears and run with it! Well, Brad took her this morning, all dressed up and carrying her Easter basket, and she wanted NOTHING to do with that bunny! He did say she was rather fascinated with the Easter eggs though! I can't wait to see these pictures! Silly girl.
Granny and Papa Bear are coming in town tomorrow! Fun times ahead! Trust me, there will be photos to post!
On a more random note.....if you recall, last summer when we moved, I posted an entry on this blog about the search for a quality child care for Anna Claire and how I had encountered one place with a 3 year waiting list. The Lord blessed us with a fabulous place that Anna Claire loves! All this to say - I came across this article today. Interesting, yet ridiculous!

Silly Girl

Anna Claire is only allowed a pacifier when she is bed, so when we went to get her up from her nap today, she had a new trick to show us! Who needs only one pacifier when you can have two!
*I also have a funny video of Anna Claire jumping in her bed - a new trick she is happy to show off, but I can't get it to load....it will come soon.

Happy Valentine's Day

Anna Claire went to school on Valentine's wearing her festive shirt and taking treats to her friends (cake squares from our favorite local bakery!). After lunch today, I had a moment of weakness and let her try some Fun Dip that her Aunt Robyn left after her visit with us. As you can see, Anna Claire thought this was the best! She even stuck her head through the walker I'm using as if to say, "May I have some more, PLEASE!" Silly girl.

And yes, Granny, we went went straight to the bathroom afterwards to brush our teeth!

You've Got Mail....and Photo Bloopers!

Anna Claire loves receiving mail! Today, she received a letter from her Granny and a Valentine from her friend, Stella! Here she is sitting in her chair, reading Granny's card.


The other day, Anna Claire received a care package from her Granny and Papa Bear! Inside was a t-shirt from their trip to the Blue Bell Creamery. I tried several attempts to get a picture of her wearing this shirt and sitting in her chair.....here are the results.....

Super Bowl Sunday

This has been a busy week! I went back to work on Monday, Friday night we had a huge outreach at church, and today was the Super Bowl with a chili cook-off at our church.

Here we are getting ready to eat! Anna Claire thinks it's pretty fun to sit in the wheelchair with me!
Both Brad and Robyn entered the chili cook off. Anna Claire is modeling Robyn's entry number while waiting to hear the results.
Brad has taught Anna Claire to raise her hands any time a team scores! Touchdown! (She was eating an M&M when this picture was taken. Note the chocolate on her chin)

The results of the chili cook off: 2nd place - Robyn; 1st place - Brad!!! Way to go!
Foot update: I am in a walking cast now, but not walking. I am on "partial weight bearing" instructions from the doctor, meaning I can put some weight on my foot, but still need to put most of the weight on the crutches or the walker. I will be like this for at least 3 weeks and then another 4-6 weeks after that in the walking boot. Anna Claire enjoys pushing the walker around the house. Also, here is an x-ray of my foot - 1 plate, 6 screws, and 2 pins! The ridiculously huge screw will come out in about a month.
