Is That a Clip I See?

You have to look closely, but Anna Claire is wearing a small clip in her hair! She kept said clip in for a whopping 10 minutes! If it was up to me, she would be wearing the biggest bows possible; however, as with many other things, she has a different idea!
And what day wouldn't be complete without a trip to the fence to visit with the dogs. As you can see in the pictures below, the dogs are honored by her presence....or not.

Anna Claire loves herself a step. Regardless of where we are, if there's a step, you can guarantee that Anna Claire will want to sit for a little while. Last weekend, we made a ridiculously fast trip to Dallas for a conference, and Anna Claire enjoyed sitting on Ma-Maw & Pa's step for a few minutes despite the high winds.

Anna Claire LOVES to run in her room, shut the door, and just laugh. Today, I went in there to get her, and at first glance I didn't see her! Then, I turned and there she was...hiding between her bed and the wall...just laughing!

Have a Seat...

With the beautiful Spring weather we are having, Anna Claire is loving being outside. Today, we went out in the front yard with her Snack Trap in tow. She first sat in the grass for a little while, and then went and sat on the front porch (see what happened in the picture below when I said, "Anna Claire...smile for Mommy."). Even though the dogs were in the house, she still walked over to the fence to say "hello" and wave!

Tuesday Night

Around here, you will hear people ask little kids to make "sweet eyes". This is not something I was familiar with prior to moving here. All this to say, Anna Claire has picked up on the whole "sweet eyes" idea, and when you ask her, she squints her eyes and smiles. Try as I may to get a picture of her making sweet eyes, I was not successful. This was the outcome. Clearly I was interrupting her snack time, and it's obvious I had asked her several times, so possibly she was rather annoyed.
Anna Claire has recently started "reading" her books. In the past, she would open and close them, but now she sits in her chair and will turn each page while "talking". This is one of her new favorites...The Zoo Crew.
And finally.....when we say, "Anna Claire, it's night, night time", she drops whatever she is playing with and goes to wait at her door. I promise she does this willingly, even though in this picture she looks like she's part of a hold up!

Pants in a Pinch?

This is hilarious! I came across this website, had me a little laugh, and found myself sounding like a grandma..."What will they think of next?"....seriously.

This Girl Doesn't Stop!

Have we mentioned what a little ball of energy we have on our hands! My dad always said that a baby doesn't sleep, she just simply recharges! This couldn't be more true! This morning, we went to Another Broken Egg for breakfast (no shock there!), and Anna Claire modeled some silly new glasses that a friend bought for her.
Anna Claire LOVES brushing her teeth; however, she prefers to sit in her chair and brush them. Whatever works.
Anna Claire has recently discovered crayons; however, she doesn't always remember that she's not supposed to put them in her mouth....gross. Today, we found these new crayons - geared more towards Anna Claire's age, and she is fascinated by them. She sat and colored for a while this afternoon!
And finally....some men in our church assembled our treadmill for us and delivered it to our house this afternoon. Brad was walking on the treadmill and had a sport's bottle filled with water. Well, Anna Claire was pretty sure she needed to be just like Daddy, so here she is showing off her BDJH water bottle. Silly.

White Shoes Before Easter.....Absolutely!

In Southern Louisiana where it's 80 degrees in early March, you better believe it's acceptable to wear white shoes before Easter! Ha! Anna Claire was so proud of these shoes and has wanted to wear them since we brought them home! Here are a couple of pictures before church on Sunday - showing off her shoes to me, and then running over ot the fence to wave to the puppies and show them her new shoes, of course!
