Happy Halloween!

My how time flies! This time last year, we had AC all bundled up in a pea in the pod costume and her daddy took her trick-or-treating at the nurses stations at only 24 hrs. old! And here we are, a year later - and our little "pumpkin" is growing up!
Here are some pictures from the night!
She received a birthday gift from our friends Jeff & Anita. They sent her some cute pj's and a bear backpack. In the first picture, she's "reading" the card. In the next picture, she's modeling her new backpack!
AC would gladly put on the pumpkin costume with a smile; however, the "hat" (the stem of the pumpkin) was a different story! She wanted nothing to do with it! We went to our friends' house to help them hand out candy! Their little girl is only 3 weeks old, and we found her a chile pepper costume....too cute! Finally, we went out to some other friends' home, and tried our best to get a picture of AC with one of her friends....nice try on our part! You'll see the end result in one of these pictures (a pumpkin and a clown!). And finally, Anna Claire brought home two new art projects from school! Talk about amazing teachers - willing to conquer paint with 1 year olds! Wow! Enjoy.

The Big Day! *UPDATED*

Happy 1st Birthday, Anna Claire! We hope you have a super special day and that you know just how much we love you! You are one fabulous little daughter, and this time last year, you came into this world and changed our lives in ways we couldn't even imagine! We thank the Lord each day for you! Anna Claire, you are such a blessing to us and you brighten each day with your laughter and sweet spirit!

Anna Claire had a great 1st birthday! Thank you to all our family and friends who made this day extra special for her! She had a early morning breakfast with her dad and grandpa at Cracker Barrel, and then she was off to school with her monogrammed cake squares for the class! She had a great day at school, and tonight we took her out to eat at Cheesecake Bistro (much like the Cheesecake Factory!)She turned on the charm at dinner and entertained the people around us...lovely. She went to bed tonight with ease! She's bound to be worn out!

Anna Claire's Dedication at Church

Today wrapped up an exciting weekend full of family, friends, and celebrations! This morning, we had Anna Claire's dedication at church. Our DS came in to do the dedication, and it was a special time for our family. Anna Claire was able to wear her great-great grandfather's christening gown! So special. We had a quick lunch and then Granny, Papa Bear, and Aunt Elizabeth caught their plane to Dallas, and Anna Claire played for a while with all her new toys before taking a serious afternoon nap! We Celebrate Our Little ONE!

Today, our families (Aunt Robyn, Ma-Maw and Pa, we missed y'all!) came in town to celebrate Anna Claire's 1st birthday (her "real" b-day isn't until Tuesday).
We've had a full day of eating, shopping, and celebrating! We are very blessed to be surrounded by such loving family and friends as we celebrate AC's first year!

An Afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch

This afternoon, we took Anna Claire to a pumpkin patch! She was fascinated by all the pumpkins and wanted to touch each one! She was particularly fond of the small pumpkins! She helped us pick out the perfect pumpkin and then had her picture taken with the special pumpkin!
