Consider Mesa - a 60 lb. Lab/German shepherd mix that Brad brought into the marriage. Sweet dog, but her loyalties are to Brad. She has social issues. Brad adopted her from the pound, so we don't know her living situation before that; however, there had to be some abuse. She anxiously paces back and forth when there are kids around. She was in her kennel one time when AC walked by and Mesa growled at her. I was ready to give her away, but we kept working with her. AC has been great and super patient with Mesa. She knows not to run at or be loud around Mesa.
And now look at the two of them.....
And then there's Sophie. This was my contribution to the marriage - a high maintenance 8 lb. Miniature Dachshund who doesn't know she's a dog. Brad and I are complete opposites, so it's no shock that our dogs would be the same! :) Sophie and AC share a love/hate relationship (Read: AC loves Sophie and well....you can figure out the other half of that statement!). Sophie puts up with quite a bit when it comes to Anna Claire.
